Release Notes for XWiki 6.2.6

Last modified by Thomas Mortagne on 2017/03/24

This is the release notes for XWiki Commons, XWiki Rendering, XWiki Platform and XWiki Enterprise. They share the same release notes as they are released together and have the same version.

This is a bug fix release.

Event though XWiki 6.2.6 was a bug fix release and was supposed to be extra stable, we made a big mistake and it caused the following 2 bugs: XWIKI-11854 and XWIKI-11855. These bugs happen only if you start a new installation on an empty database. If you are concerned, you should wait for the version 6.2.7 or consider using the more recent 6.4.2 version. But these bugs does not prevent you to perform an upgrade to 6.2.6.

New and Noteworthy (since XWiki 6.2.5)

General Notes

When upgrading make sure you compare your xwiki.cfg, xwiki.properties and web.xml files with the newest version since some configuration parameters may have been modified or added. Note that you should add xwiki.store.migration=1 so that XWiki will attempt to automatically migrate your current database to the new schema. Make sure you backup your Database before doing anything.

API Breakages

No API breakage since XWiki 6.2.5.
